SeethaDevi Temple,Wayanad

This temple located at Pulpally is dedicated to Goddess Sita. The sub deities here are Lavan, Kushan, Thalachiluan, Ayyappan, Subramanyan, Ganapathy, Vettakaran and Naga.According to legends, Lava and Kusha are the sons of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. The idols of Lava and Kusha are installed in a single sanctum sanctorum in the temple and it is one of the very few temples dedicated to Lava and Kusha. There are legends connecting the region with important episodes of Ramayana. The temple permits entry to devotees from all faiths.

Railways :- The nearest railway station is at Mysore. Road :- Irulam village is close to Pulpally town which can be accessed from Mananthavady or Kalpetta. The Periya ghat road links Mananthavady to Kannur and Thalassery. The Thamarassery mountain road links Calicut with Kalpetta. The Kuttiady mountain road links Vatakara with Kalpetta and Mananthavady. The Palchuram mountain road links Kannur and Iritty with Mananthavady. The road from Nilambur to Ooty is also linked to Wayanad through the village of Meppadi.

The temple festival which is celebrated annually in the month of January is famous and it attracts people from various parts of Wayanad. The famous kuruva island is 5 km away from pulpally town.
