Varakkal Devi Temple
Varakkal Devi Temple is one of the famous Devi temples in Kozhikode Dt of Kerala. The main deity of the temple is Durga Devi (Bhagawathy). The temple also has sub deities of Ganapati, Dakshinamoorthy and Sree Ayyappan.Situated at West Hill in the town area, this shrine is considered to be the 108th temple for Goddess Durga by this great saint. According to legends, Lord Parasurama ploughed this land in order to make the goddess appear in front of him.

The main festival of the temple is Vavu Bali, devotees gather in large numbers for Thulam Vavu for performing Bali Tharpanam on varkkal beach. Navaratri: The festival of Navaratri is also celebrated in a big way in the temple.
Pushpanjali, Padivilakku, Naivilakku, Thrikalapooja, Swayamvara Pushpanjali, Santhana Gopala Pooja, Ganapathy Homam, Thila Homam are the other offerings.
