Sree Annapoorneswari Temple

Sree Annapoorneswari Temple is situated on top of a small hill 2km southwest of Chalappally Junction.

The Devi is in "Santha Bhava" to bless and bliss everybody without any discretion. Mother goddess showers her choicest blessings upon her devotes. Devotes look up to her as the most benevolent as their prayers sent up to her has neither become unanswered nor fruitless.

History has it that the devi was the family deity of the Munjanattu family of Nattakam village in Kottayam.
The almighty devi came in to Kunnathukavu along with a Karanavar of the Munjanattu family under an umbrella held up by him. the Karnavar of this family set off his journey in search of an arable land for cultivation and thus settled in this place. It is believed that after his arrival, the present temple in Kunnathukavu was constructed.
