Chowalloor Mahadeva Temple

Chowalloor Siva Temple is part of 108 Siva temples in Kerala and one among the five Shiva temples around Guruvayoor.

There is no flag mast in the temple. The main Balikallu in Balikalpura is about 10 feet tall. So from outside, the Shiva lingam can not be seen.

In the two tiered round Sree kovil or Sanctum Sanctorum, the Swayambhoo idol of Lord Siva is seen facing west and that of His consort Sree Parvathy facing east.
