Adukathu Bhagavathy Temple

Adukathu Bhagavathy Temple is dedicated to the Mahishasura Mardini form of Goddess Durga. The temple is unique for two reasons: the offering of raw buffalo milk and the presence of turtles in the nearby pond, known as Amakulam. This ancient Bhagavathy temple is located three kilometers away from Velakunn.

The temple pond is teeming with turtles, which disappear during the summer when the pond dries up. However, they reappear when the pond is replenished after the monsoon rains.
