Agasthyacodu Mahadeva Temple

Agasthyacodu Mahadeva temple is located Alencherry Road in Anchal. This temple is identified as one of the oldest Swayambhu Siva temples in south India. The main deities worshipped in the temple are Shiva and Vishnu. The darshanam of the deities is towards east. The temple is under the Travancore Devasom Board administration.

The place is named after Agasthya Muni. The temple has a very attractive historical background and is famous among devotees from various parts of southern Travancore.

The temple was recently renovated. A new standing Siva statue was installed which has become the main attraction at the temple. The temple has a calm and serene environment with great natural beauty all around.
