Chakkamkulangara Siva Temple

Chakkamkulangara Siva temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. There is also the presence of Devi Parvathy. Lord Shiva of the temple represents Swayamvara moorthy, although originally it has the form of “Mrityunjaya” in its fierce form (Ugra Bhavam), facing west, with eight hands with various attributes. The temple is part of the famous 108 Temples of Shiva of Kerala and references to this temple (Adampalli) are located at 108 Shivalaya Sothram.

Temple is well located at the heart of Thripunithura and near to Poornathrayeesa temple. The temple structure is made Kerala-Dravidian architecture style and is more than 1000 years old.

The temple is famous for the Navagraha (Nine Planets) Pujas. The shrine was an important temple associated with Shakthan Thampuran.
