Ramamangalam Perumthrikkovil Temple

Ramamangalam Perumthrikkovil temple is located at Ramamangalam in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Narasimha Murti. The assumption of the idol in the temple is of Bala Narasimha – peaceful form of Narasimha Avatar.

The shrine is believed to have been built by Cheraman Perumal between 8th and 12th century AD. The Brahmins of the region did not allow Cheraman Perumal to watch the kalashamadal ceremony after the pratishta in the temple. Cheraman Perumal was saddened by this act of Brahmins and started to walk away from the temple. Suddenly Lord Aiyappa appeared holding a stick and drove the Brahmins away from the temple.
