Karikodu Bhagavathy Temple

Karikodu Bhagavathy Temple is about 460 Years old. The temple is situated opposite Annamalai Temple. The presiding deity is Bhadrakali. The idol is a Kannadi Shila Prathishta (Mirror Idol) facing west. Three poojas are held daily, abided by Kaviyadu thanthra.

The Goddess worshipped in the temple is the Paradevatha of Thekkumkoor king. Local history states that Vadakkumkoor Raja had done a long penance and brought Kodungaloore Devi to this place.
