Paramara Devi Temple
Located at the heart of Ernakulam city in Kerala, India, the Paramara Devi Temple is an ancient Hindu temple. It is unique among Bhadrakali temples in that it faces north, and it is known by two different names among locals: Parambanar Kulangara Bhagawati and Paramara Mutthi.
According to legend, a Brahmin traveler placed the idol of the goddess on the ground to worship it, but when he tried to lift it after his prayers, he found that the idol was fixed to the ground. This led to the construction of a temple at that site, where the goddess was subsequently consecrated.
