Sree Kashi Vishwanadha Temple

The temple in Karunagappalli is unique for its twin temples.

The Sri Kashi Vishwanathar Temple is also known as the Deccan Kashi Temple.

Legend has it that a priest of this temple had brought the Shivalingam which he found unexpectedly in Ganges and installed it at this temple. It is also believed that this temple was built almost 2000 years ago dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Whatever the legend says, Cheriazheekal Temple has equal importance for both Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.
