Sree Subramanyaswami Temple

The Maniyoor Sree Subrahmanyaswamy Temple is one of the oldest temples in the Malabar region. The walls are made of laterite and are carved with themes based on puranas, while figurines made of wood can be seen on the roof. The sankalpam of the idol is of Baala-Subramanyan.

Previously, the temple was owned by the Maanaatt and Kannambetti illams. In 1965, due to financial difficulties, the illam had to hand over the temple to the HR&CE Department. Now, the temple is managed by a Temple Committee appointed by the HR&CE Department.
